Class Policies

By signing up for a class or workshop at Heart2Heart Knitting & Fiber Arts, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Please be on time. Class will begin promptly and you will miss important information if you are more than 5 minutes late.
  • Come to class prepared! If there is work to do during the week be sure to come to class ready. We will typically be building on skills from the previous lesson and week of practice, if you don’t come prepared you will miss out on learning.
  •  Bring a “willing to try” attitude. You can do this! We are here to show you how!
  •  Unless indicated, classes are for ages 18+. Classes and workshops for kids will be listed separately.
  •  Payment is due at registration. If notice is given at least 7 days before the first scheduled class, you may transfer to another class or be issued store credit.
  •  You will be notified via email about class needs, reminders, and any updates.
Please make sure Heart2Heart emails are not in your spam folder.
  • Emergencies happen. If possible let us know 48 hours in advance if you are unable to make a class. If properly notified we may be able to help you make up the class or issue store credit to be used on a future class or in the shop.
  • Transfers and shop credit will NOT be given for no-shows. You must notify Heart2Heart if you will miss a class.
  • If nothing is fitting your needs or schedule, private and semi-private knitting lessons are available.
  • Inclement weather- if we cancel or reschedule classes due to weather or instructor illness you will be notified ASAP by email. If the cancellation is made by the instructor, class will be rescheduled. If you cannot make the rescheduled time we will work with you to find another time or issue a partial refund.
  • We reserve the right to cancel class if less than 3 students sign up two days before class.
You will be notified promptly if this happens.

Classes

We’ve all been there: a beautiful project stalled by one confusing instruction, or a dream pattern gathering dust because you aren’t sure where to begin. This class is your "green light." Whether you need help deciphering complex charts or just want the confidence to start the first row, bring your hurdles to us. Let’s clear the confusion, master the tricky parts, and get your project moving toward the finish line.

Cost: $ 70.00
Don't let a dropped stitch or an extra increase ruin your rhythm. In this session, we turn "oh no" into "no problem." Learn how to identify exactly where things went sideways and—more importantly—how to fix it without ripping out hours of hard work. Bring in your "problem" projects and leave with the skills to handle any mistake with total confidence.

Cost: $ 75.00
Ready to knit your very first pair of cozy, hand-knit socks? Socks are a rite of passage for every knitter, and this four-session course is designed to get you through every twist and turn with confidence. We’ll be using the Magic Loop method—a modern technique that uses one long circular needle to knit even the smallest circumferences with ease. Over four weeks, we will walk you through the entire "anatomy" of a sock: from the perfect cast-on and the magical turning of the heel to the final, seamless toe. With four dedicated sessions, you’ll have plenty of hands-on guidance to ensure your first pair fits perfectly and looks professional. Leave the "sock dread" behind and join us to master the most addictive project in knitting!

Cost: $ 135.00
Take your knitting to the next level with the magic of Fair Isle! This four-week session is designed to take the stress out of colorwork, helping you tackle those stunning multi-colored charts with total ease. We will guide you through the professional secrets of "Two-Handed" knitting, managing your tension (floats) without puckering, and keeping your yarn tangle-free while working in the round. Because we meet for four sessions, there is plenty of time to troubleshoot your progress, master the rhythm of carrying two colors at once, and ensure your stitches look effortless and even. Join a community of makers and transform your knitting from simple to spectacular!
