Needle Felting Class
July 29th 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Reservations required, go online, call the shop, or sign up in person.
Get a spot at the table and learn how to needle felt. The in-person classes take approx. 2 hours and you take home what you created. If you didn't finish your work you will leave with the skills and tools to finish it at home. The only thing you might have to invest in is felting foam, but they are not always necessary.
Needle felting is the process of using a barbed needle to repeatedly jab fiber causing it to tangle and become more compact. Any natural animal fiber, can be felted, though some are easier than others. In classes at Heart2Heart, we typically use an alpaca/wool blend roving.
Class participants should be 16 or older, but kids 12-15 may register with an adult companion also enrolled in the class.
Crochet 101 Class

Beginner crochet classes are the perfect way to learn how to crochet. Crochet is a quick and easy hobby, with professional looking results. In just a few hours you can master the skills to create lovable crocheted projects that last a lifetime. In our beginner crochet class, we’ll start at the beginning, talking about how to select different yarns, yarn weights and their different uses, which crocheting hooks to use and then stitch up a project together. This beginner crochet class is perfect for a total newbie or as a refresher if it’s been a while since you had your hands on your hooks. We can tailor the crochet session to meet your skill level so that you leave the beginner workshop excited about what you’ve learned.
Crochet Skills You Will Learn:
- Different crocheting tools and their uses
- How to chain or begin your crochet project, Single Crochet, Double Crochet and Finishing Off (or ending a project)
- How to Work in Rows
- How to keep your edges straight
- Different properties of yarn and the uses for various weights
- Problem-solving for common crochet mistakes and challenges
Crochet 101 Prerequisite: None
Make up classes are not available, if you miss a session, the instructor will do her best to get you back on track.
Sock Knitting 101 Class
August 5, 12, & 26th
$85.00
This is a 3 Week Class; each class will be 2 hours
You need to know how to knit and purl to take this class.
This is an in person sock class for anyone who has never knitted socks before. Over 3-90 minute sessions you will learn how to make cuff down socks. You will learn all aspects of cuff down socks, heel stitch, short rows to turn a heel, picking up stitches and kitchener stitch to close your toe at the end.
If you are buying materials from the store, please ensure to purchase before the class starts on Saturday, April 8th.
Materials required (not included):
- 100g of fingering weight yarn which includes nylon/ acrylic/ silk for strength. We carry a large supply of "sock" yarns in store for you to choose from.
- 2.75mm/ US size 2 circular needle, 32" cord for instruction on Magic Loop.

Colorwork Knit Along
Finally, the dates have arrived! We will have a colorwork
knit along in Septermber.
We have an easy pattern chosen, with a bit of colorwork in the yoke. Beginner to advanced, this is a fun sweater to do!
