Happy Summer or near the end of it!
What happened to summer? I can tell you! The flood we had in June!
From June 8th until July 9th, Heart2Heart was shut down.
We may not have been open for business but we were so busy! We had to pack the entire floor of the shop. Displays, yarns, everything had to find a home. You may have seen the ugly pod out front!
The entire floor and some ceiling tiles had to be replaced. Walls had to be fixed and repainted! Then we had to move it all back in!
Personally, I cannot thank Cindy & Mary enough for all the time they have put in to pack/unpack, rearrange and help in getting the shop back up and running.
Not only that, but YOU...our wonderful customers.
A HUGE Thank You to all of you .Your patience and kindness through this whole ordeal has be overwhelming and so grateful to all of us. We just don't have the words to express how much you all are appreciated!
BUT NOW....WE ARE BACK OPEN!
The flood has been a small blessing. We were able to move some things around and make for bigger, more open areas, including the nook! Come on by and say hello.

5 Year Anniversary Celebration!
5 years ago I opened a yarn shop in Poulsbo. All I can say is the rest is history!
What an amazing 5 years this has been!

Jadawoo Designs will be in house for a trunk show! Jadawoo Designs started as an indie dyer and now has her own brick & mortar in Tacoma. Her own place to share her yarns, meet new people and share her love of fiber.
 
Buxom Cat Yarns are FINALLY in the shop.
Come on by Heart2Heart Knitting & Fiber Arts on July 27th and check out my Buxom Cat Knits yarn debut. Lisa will be carrying a nice selection of my yarn in store!! Cathei will be there personally from noon-2pm with cupcakes and chats.
For those that like to get started early on holiday projects she will have some Halloween and Christmas yarn ready to go that same day.
Cathei may have a few other items up my sleeve specifically for Heart2Heart!

August 3 10am to 12pm - Crochet 101
Learn the fundamentals of crochet. Our instructor will guide you through the essential techniques, including chaining, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. You'll also master the crucial skill of counting your stitches to ensure your projects turn out perfectly.
The provided class pattern is a washcloth.
You will get started on the pattern and have the skill to complete it on your own.
Tools needed: 1 ball of worsted weight cotton yarn, 5mm crochet hook,
tapestry needle and markers.
August 3. 1:30pm to 3:30pm - Knitting 101
Learn to knit by mastering the essential skills. Our instructor will teach you how to cast on, bind off, and create knit, purl and stockinette stitches. With these foundational techniques, you'll be ready to tackle your first scarf project. Pattern provided.
Tools needed: 2 ball yarn, 10mm straight needles, tapestry needle.
August 24. 10am. To 12pm - Crochet 102
Build on basic stitches from Crochet 101 with half double and slip stitch. In this class, you'll be introduced to working with granny squares and explore various creative projects using the squares you make. We'll also cover how to change and add yarn. A pattern will be provided.
Tools needed: 2 color yarn, 5mm hook, markers, tapestry needle
August 24 1:30pm to 3:30pm - Knitting 102
Expand on the techniques learned in Knitting 101, including increasing and decreasing stitches. You'll also learn to work in the round using circular needles.
A pattern will be provided to create your first hat.
Tools needed: yarn, circular 7mm needles, markers, tapestry needle
