Spring at the yarn store is a time of renewed creativity and inspiration with the arrival of new yarns to experiment with. As the weather warms and the days grow longer, knitters and crocheters alike are drawn to the vibrant colors and luxurious textures that line the shelves of their favorite stores. From lightweight cottons perfect for breezy shawls to cozy merinos begging to be transformed into warm sweaters, the possibilities seem endless. With each skein of yarn comes the potential for a new creation, a new challenge, and a new way to unleash one's creativity. As creative free minds we can appreciate the artistry and skill required to master the craft of knitting or crocheting, and find solace in the meditative rhythm of creating something beautiful with our hands. Spring at the yarn store offers us a welcomed respite from our daily pursuits, allowing us to reconnect with our artistic side and find joy in the simple act of making something from nothing.
Spring also brings the excitment of the PNW Yarn Crawl as well as the larger LYS Yarn Tour, both coming up in May.
